My Travel Story

My passion for travel was ignited when I joined the travel club in high school and our group went to the Canary Islands. These beautiful islands are part of Spain and are located just off the coast of Africa - what a place to start travelling!! It is virtually impossible to choose a favorite destination although I have to say that Italy ‘speaks to my heart’! I’ve travelling to Italy 3 times – the first time was on my honeymoon, second time was with a coach tour and the 3rd time was a trip with my sister and my now grown-up daughter. Each time I’ve discovered something new and I’ve met some amazing people!
A close second to Italy would be Greece - I've visited the mainland and 5 of the Greek islands so far. I'm not sure that I'll be able to visit each and every Greek island but I'm sure going to try!!

I absolutely love an all-inclusive vacation too – walking on a sandy beach, listening to the waves or sitting under a palm tree in the warm ocean breeze surrounded by my family…. What a perfect way to relax!

I also love the hustle and bustle of a big city like Rome, Paris, Athens or New York! There’s something about the energy of the big city!! And, really, almost every city is Europe has so much history and beauty!!

So many great memories and so many more memories to make!! I love sharing my travel experience and knowledge!

My Favourite Destination

Italy!

Venice – it was a little nerve-wracking the first time in Venice because it’s almost impossible to follow a map to find where you’re going! When you get used to it though, it’s very freeing to just wander and see where the road takes you!! (and you don’t have to worry about cars!!)
Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast and Cinque Terre – although these aren’t in the same part of Italy, I’m hard put to say which I like better. I loved, loved, loved staying in Sorrento and touring around the Amalfi coast and the island of Capri!! And Cinque Terre is world-famous for a reason – stunning scenery and the cutest quaint little towns along the coast-line! I do have to say that I felt a little cheated as some of the coastal trails were closed when we were there – it’s a great reason to go back though!!
Florence, Rome, Sienna, Tuscany, Pisa – the history of the cities tugs at my mind and the beauty of the country-side tugs at my heart!! I took Art History in university and I loved seeing in person some of the artwork I had studied!
