My Travel Story
I'm passionate about travel because I think it can really shape who you are as a person and show you just how much you're capable of. I took my first solo trip in 2022, never having gone anywhere alone, never having been to Europe. I booked a flight to Spain and two weeks later I was on my own in a completely foreign place. I traveled Europe for a month and by the time I got home, I felt so confident and proud of myself and the things I had experienced. It showed me that I could adapt to new situations, learn about cultures I previously knew nothing about, and be self-sufficient enough to take on something completely unknown and come out of it happier than before. Some of my greatest travel memories are the people I've met while traveling. From the sweet older Croatian woman who ran the hotel I stayed at in Dubrovnik and insisted on feeding me a homecooked meal before I went to explore the city, to the fellow travelers I've been lucky enough to share a meal or explore a city with, the people you meet traveling are really such a great part of exploring the world.
