My Travel Story
My passion for travel has stemmed from my love of history. It is such a special feeling to have learned all about a destination and the culture and then be fully immersed in it. There really is nothing like it. I think when you travel to a new country and experience the culture, you take a small bit of that culture home with you. Over many year of travelling this helps to create the person everyone wants to see within themselves as a better version of humanity with a respect and understanding for the world we live in.
My greatest travel memory so far would be snorkeling in the Galapagos Islands. It was my first time snorkeling and I was suddenly immersed in this magical world under the surface. I was swimming alongside sea turtles, sharks, stingrays, penguins and sea lions. It was such a sensory overload of colourful fish flying by plus the majesty and grace of the sea turtles as they were gliding beside you in the water.
