Meet Luciano Schipano—a passionate travel agent, culinary tour curator, and proud ambassador of Italian culture. With a Master’s degree in Tourism and over a decade of experience crafting meaningful travel experiences, Luciano has made it his mission to connect people to the heart and soul of a place through food, culture, and unforgettable moments.

Originally from Italy, Luciano moved to Canada in 2011, bringing with him a rich background in hospitality and an unwavering love for travel. It wasn’t long before he combined these passions to create something special—Calabria Culinary Tours. Through this venture, and in partnership with PG Travel, he designs and leads immersive journeys that go far beyond the typical tourist experience. Think cooking with local chefs, tasting olive oil at the source, exploring hidden villages, family-run vineyards, and authentic farms—each experience carefully curated to showcase the true essence of Italy, especially his beloved Calabria.

But Luciano’s love for Italian culture doesn’t stop at travel. In Toronto, he’s a well-known name in the food scene, running several culinary businesses, including Ristorante Boccaccio, Caffe Cinquecento, Culinarium Culinary Studio & Events Space, and Chef Luciano Schipano Ltd. Through these ventures, he brings the flavors of Italy to the local community while sharing its traditions with travelers from around the world.

His passion for cultural and sustainable tourism has led to collaborations with major organizations like ENIT (Italian National Tourist Board), ICCO, and ICFF, further strengthening his mission to keep Italian heritage alive and thriving. Whether he’s planning a heritage tour for families, a culinary retreat for food lovers, or a custom trip for first-time travelers to Italy, Luciano always has the same goal: to create something authentic, heartfelt, and unforgettable.

And what’s next? One of his biggest dreams is to offer destination weddings in Calabria, blending love, food, tradition, and breathtaking scenery to create magical memories that last a lifetime.
